Home base

Home for us is Loomis, a small train-stop town in Placer County just outside Sacramento. O.Riley Media started as a hobby for Owen and quickly grew into a business. Then along came Evyn, and what began as his vision grew into something we could build together.

Today Owen is the one behind the camera, while Evyn takes care of everything behind the scenes and second-shoots when a day calls for it. If you're getting married in Placer County, you're working with neighbors.

What "local" means when you book us

  • Travel is included. Travel within 45 miles of Loomis is included in every collection, which covers much of Placer County and the Sacramento area. If your venue is farther out, travel is $1 per mile (one way), and we'll quote it up front.
  • We can meet in person. After you inquire, we hop on a call or meet in person to make sure the fit is right. For couples nearby, coffee is usually easier than a video call.
  • Engagement sessions close to home. Your engagement session happens at a location of your choice. Pick the place that feels like you: the trail you walk every weekend, your favorite downtown street, or the open field you drive past on the way home.

How we work on a wedding day

We prioritize real emotion over perfect poses. The best frames happen when no one is performing, so we stay attentive without interrupting. We'll step in to help with the parts that need direction, like family photos and portraits, and then give you room to actually be at your own wedding.

Our Full Wedding Day collection includes a complimentary planning meeting, day-of timeline planning and vendor coordination. Planners and venues are welcome to reach out too; we're happy to work alongside the team you already have.

Our Placer County portfolio, honestly

We haven't published a gallery from a named Placer County venue yet, so you won't find a list of local venues on this page. The closest is just over the county line: Chloe & Corbin's fall engagement shoot among the golden vines of Apple Hill, near Placerville. You can see full galleries from our recent couples in The Collection.

Getting married on the Tahoe side of the county?

Placer County stretches all the way up to Lake Tahoe. That's well beyond our included 45 miles, so mileage and lodging apply. Our Lake Tahoe elopements page covers how we handle mountain days.

Let's begin here
